Happy Thanksgiving!
Hello! I just wanted to pop on here to wish a happy holiday season to whomever may wander onto this page and to give a squirrelly update. I am informed of the good news that the illustrations are almost complete, and I am hoping for even better news that they are all the way complete soon!
In the meantime, more manuscripts are in the process of development, and both Green Gooey Goop and Silly Moments are available as soft cover and ebook in time for the holidays.
In addition, Possum and I are adjusting well, and we are enjoying our strolls around the neighborhood. He tries to go fast, but he's like 98 years old, so fast is really just measured by bursts of enthusiasm over bees and butterflies, and then he slows down again so he can pee everywhere. It's idyllic, really.
I wish you a very happy Thanksgiving!

Squirrel Superhighway Contract Signed
Hello! I had the pleasure of signing the contract for my next children's picture book, Squirrel Superhighway on Friday, and I'm excited to share the news with you! Squirrel Superhighway features a dog on a self-discovery mission who is surrounded by many graceful squirrels. This will be another vocabulary booster in my series of feel-good stories for children of all ages and those who read with and to them.
Squirrel Superhighway will be published through Guardian Angel Publishing, which is the same publishing house that published Green Gooey Goop and Silly Moments, both of which are available as ebooks and in soft cover. Squirrel Superhighway will be illustrated by the renowned artist, Vanda Lavar, who illustrated Tucker's Tale and Mr. Topper, the Potbellied Pig.

Please join me in supporting a cause that is near and dear to my heart--the unfinished work of the late, great Orson Welles. If you reserve a digital download of the movie for yourself for $30, you will help this film become a reality. If you are interested in some of the other perks, there are many to choose from, including luxurious terry cloth robes and even a box of cigars. Please visit the Indiegogo site and pledge today! Thank you!

Feeling the Squirrelly Muse
I've been back at the page again recently, revising my manuscript for Squirrel Superhighway, which is in the process of being illustrated. This newest children's picture book is my personal tribute to the lovely forest community of Lytle Creek, California, where I owned a small house that I lived in for two periods of five years each. My son and I share several fond memories of this location, including the many times my little dog, Possum, attempted to interact with the squirrels gracefully gliding from tree limb to telephone pole and back to another tree branch, all on their own private superhighway.
Likewise, in Squirrel Superhighway, a dog would like to become a squirrel since he admires them so much (and who wouldn't?). However, he discovers through a series of attempts to be more squirrel-like that he is much better at being a dog. He then learns to appreciate who he is, which I believe is something we could all learn more about--appreciating ourselves for being who we already are. I hope you will enjoy this new creation when it is available!

Readers' Favorite 5-Star Book Review
Hello, everyone! I would like to share with you the 5-star book review that Green Gooey Goop recently received from Readers' Favorite. Enjoy!
Readers' Favorite 5 Star Book Review for Green Gooey Goop.
Book Review
Reviewed by Robert Ahanes for Readers' Favorite
Green Gooey Goop, a children's book by Anna C. Morrison, narrates the story of a mom who tries to add more green to her child's meal. She prepares a smoothie-like food with diverse green ingredients inside for her little girl who imagines the green smoothie as a mixture of disgusting and awful things such as sweaty socks and monkey. The little girl needs to eat the smelly green sandwich. She drops it and her dog licks the green stuff spilled on him. What happens to the poor dog is a mystery.
Readers, kids or adults, will enjoy the descriptive and rhyming story of a little girl who hates green stuff in her food. Everyone will enjoy reading this book since it's a common story among kids who prefer more sweets and chocolates rather than green nutritious vegetables. We may have had the same experience when we were children. Morrison just reminds us of the healthiness of green foods. Green Gooey Goop is a fun and insightful book for its readers.
The intuitive and adorable illustrations by Alexander Morris help kids be part of the story, by letting them see horrible things brewing up from the pot mom gave to the little girl. The colors are vivid and attract readers, inviting them to enjoy it to the last moment. This book is a reminder to its readers to live healthily and stop making excuses since vegetables are good for everyone. We must change our eating habits and nutrition to live better and healthier lives.
