Closure of Guardian Angel Publishing

Hello and welcome!  I hope you are doing well during these trying times.  It is with sadness that I announce that Guardian Angel Publishing has shut its doors due to the pandemic.  However, my children's book titles that were published through Guardian Angel are still available in limited stock through copies I purchased previously for book signings.  I also have eBook versions of each title.  Please contact me through my author page on Facebook if you are interested in purchasing via either of these options.  Thank you for your support, and I look forward to publishing new work in the near future.  Take care!

Me and My Dog: A Summer of Sand and Waves

I've been reconnecting to nature and therefore myself, finding out who I am in the aftermath of an ended relationship as I transition to new levels of creativity, listening to the music inside me and singing many new songs, and some old ones (with higher notes), as I embark on a new writing project that is actually not new at all but definitely is expanded, welcoming positivity, recognizing poetry in all forms, honoring the dance that exists in every step, and embracing life.

On another note, the illustrations for Squirrel Superhighway are completed, and I am looking forward to publication sometime soon!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  2015 has been a year of many changes for me, and 2016 promises new experiences, so let them all be positive.  I'm especially looking forward to the release of Squirrel Superhighway, or It's Good to be a Dog.  I wish everyone out there a year filled with all that makes you happy!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello!  I just wanted to pop on here to wish a happy holiday season to whomever may wander onto this page and to give a squirrelly update.  I am informed of the good news that the illustrations are almost complete, and I am hoping for even better news that they are all the way complete soon!  

In the meantime, more manuscripts are in the process of development, and both Green Gooey Goop and Silly Moments are available as soft cover and ebook in time for the holidays.  

In addition, Possum and I are adjusting well, and we are enjoying our strolls around the neighborhood.  He tries to go fast, but he's like 98 years old, so fast is really just measured by bursts of enthusiasm over bees and butterflies, and then he slows down again so he can pee everywhere.  It's idyllic, really.

I wish you a very happy Thanksgiving!

A King's Farewell

King is the one closest to the birdbath in this picture.  

King lost his extended battle with cancer Thursday, October 1, 2015.  

He will always be remembered as a constant source of joy and unconditional love.

I love you, King.

Hello!  I had the pleasure of signing the contract for my next children's picture book, Squirrel Superhighway on Friday, and I'm excited to share the news with you!  Squirrel Superhighway features a dog on a self-discovery mission who is surrounded by many graceful squirrels.  This will be another vocabulary booster in my series of feel-good stories for children of all ages and those who read with and to them.

Squirrel Superhighway will be published through Guardian Angel Publishing, which is the same publishing house that published Green Gooey Goop and Silly Moments, both of which are available as ebooks and in soft cover.  Squirrel Superhighway will be illustrated by the renowned artist, Vanda Lavar, who illustrated Tucker's Tale and Mr. Topper, the Potbellied Pig.
