Randomly Cheesecaky

I've been distracted lately, preparing to teach my first college English class. I thought I would come up for air long enough to say thank you for all the lovely comments (I am saying lovely a lot lately, but it's a good word, so I'll keep doing it, thank you) and then I saw Stephanie gave me an award, and I will pass this on soon (I will!) but first, thank you to Stephanie for this award:

Now, I have not been slacking, but it may seem that way, so I apologize to those of you who normally pop by every time I post a blog, and who may have missed me on their blogs.  Life gets crazy, and I know it's not just me that happens to, so I shouldn't have to say anything further on that subject!  So, yeah, much craziness has ensued.  Blah, blah, blah!  I miss you all, and plan to catch up possibly this weekend.  AND I will post that book review I've been promising.  AND I will blog more often.  But first, some Friday randomness for randomness' sake.

1.  This blog would be a great lesson in run-on sentences!  Yay, now it's useful!
2.  My head is so full of how to teach college grammar that it's hard for me to remember to even feed the dogs.
3.  Somehow the dogs remind me to feed them, so they are okay.
4.  If you try to sneak a few bites of Oreo cheesecake in the laundry room before dinner, your child WILL catch you.  Guaranteed. "Hey, Mom, can you...heyyyyy!!!"  Oh, the guilt, it overwhelms.
5.  Guilt causes more cheesecake cravings.
6.  I have just now confessed the cheesecake by the dryer incident, hooray!  And I'm not even Catholic.  Does this make for good karma?  I wonder.  Hm.
7.  Mental note...look for Splenda Neufchatel Fake-Oreo Cheesecake recipes online for guilt-free laundry time.
8.  Now I am off to think of more interesting free writing prompts for my students!

Have a great weekend, everyone, and thanks again, Stephanie!
