Discovery

I've unplugged for a bit, but I reserve the right to plug back in when I feel like it.  See, I have this guilty little secret.  Come close, I'll whisper it in your favorite ear.  (Filmcow.com reference for the more highly evolved youtubians out there).  I have discovered BookMooch.com.  There, I said it!  It feels so good to finally get that out in the open!  Whew!

Okay, I have to go read the rare anthology containing the hard-to-find Douglas Adams short story, and then I really must read Wicked so that I can know what all these people who saw the show are talking about, and then, well, I would never admit to what I want to read next that arrived in my post office box on Friday.  But it's good.

If you want to join and friend me I'm there under annacmorrison, as usual.  I still buy my share of new books, don't fret.  We authors must continue to support each other under any economic circumstances.  However, this resource (which is one of many, and not the only one I joined, but seems the most frequently used) is priceless, and it will still help authors because if someone reads one book by someone, they are bound to want more, and if they want them badly enough, they will buy them new.

Oh, and it's global, not just for the US.  I like that, too.  Some of you probably have already heard of this site, and the others, but it's still a novelty for me.  Off I go to finish my novels!  Then to write some novels.  Then to read some more.  Then to write some more...such is my cycle.

I'll definitely have to check that site out. I probably won't get around to it today, but when I do, I'll certainly friend you!

My mom turned me onto a book exchange site...but I never could find any of the books I wanted. Bookends, I think? I put a bunch of my books up there for trade and no one bought them. So I just took them down to the local used bookstore and traded them in in person. I'm a big library checker-outer, too. I think as many books as most of us read, we couldn't possibly pay full price for all of them. We'd be broke!

I'm hooked on my Kindle these days, but I'll have to check it out.
