Mini-Golf

I wonder if the designers of miniature golf courses all get together and giggle over webcam clips of people trying desperately and repeatedly to hit the balls up the ramps and into the little cups. Do they knowingly place slopes at such angles that only Tiger Woods could navigate the ball successfully? Why does the ability to achieve par on any of these holes evaporate after age 12, when full price kicks in?

My son, who can't even take out the trash without spilling it everywhere, got a hole in one.
